KOLKATA: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday registered seven more FIRs in post-poll violence cases in West Bengal.
The central agency is conducting an investigation into the matter on the order of the Calcutta high court.
It has so far registered 28 FIRs related to incidents of murder, gangrape, and attempt to murder reported during the post-poll violence.
The CBI on Saturday arrested two persons in connection with the alleged murder of BJP worker Dharma Mandal in Nadia’s Chapra. These are the first arrests made by the central agency in the case.
